Employers and employees, who are concerned about the costs and level of health insurance benefits and services, can rely on the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce to provide those benefits and services while helping to keep costs down.

The Chamber of Commerce Health Insurance Program offers this group health insurance program to its members to help the “small” employer or sole proprietor gain access to large group type plans and rates. This often makes obtaining health insurance an option where none may have been available.

The benefits of this Insurance Program are:

• One monthly premium invoice even if multiple plans are used.
• All plans are “group discounted”, helping you and your business to keep the costs of offering a high quality employee benefit program as low as possible.
• Professional administration that works as your employee benefits department.
• The administrative functions of this health insurance program will be handled by Chamber Member Insurance Brokers.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for enrollment into the health insurance plan through the Chamber of Commerce, a person or business must be a current member of the Chamber. An individual must be self-employed with a valid Federal ID # and provide a Schedule C indicating $25,000 net profit. A Company may not have more than fifty employees and seventy-five percent participation is required unless the employee presently has other health insurance coverage, or the employee does not meet the criteria for health insurance set by the employer.
